Yesterday seemed to be a personal high for me and today was the reverse. Lack of sleep, upset stomach and waking up to the sound of rain on the tent made for a hard start to the day. My personal dietary preferences tend away from peppers and spicy foods to keep my stomach feeling well and breakfast for today was El Paso scrambled eggs so I had to deal with cold cereal and bought my own hardy breakfast down the road in Chase. Still did not feel a whole lot better by Sicamous so had a bowl of Chicken Rice Soup at an eatery in the mall. Timed this perfectly as a major thunder shower came through the area while I was eating. Right after this was the steepest hill yet of the trip. I did get off to walk about half of this in segments and my GPS data later told me this hill was at around 13% grade. I did manage to stay generally dry for today's ride, taking shelter under a tree when the next cloud burst hit just before arriving in camp. Being so close to home today, only about 50kms away at the closest, and how I felt, it was tempting to ride straight home to a nice warm bed and relax, but then I would miss out on some of the adventure. As it was, after a good nap in camp and a hot shower (it was actually hot today!) I felt a lot better.

A scenic shot with the rain clouds threatening.

Back in my stomping grounds, the Enderby Cliffs which I have been on top on a few times.
