Lots of rain during the evening last night but it stayed dry overnight allowing me to pack an only damp tent and not soaking wet one. Ten minutes after it was packed the rain came down hard. Glad I did not sleep in today. It rained during breakfast but had stopped by the time I hit the road. There were 3 different ride options today and I took the easiest route due to general lack of enery and the foul weather conditions. Still had good views from the route I did take. Very fierce crosswinds going over the bridge pictured below made for a bit of a scary crossing as there were no shoulders or sidewalk. This is the last night we will have to set up our tents and I am hoping for a dry morning to pack everything dry for the crossing to Newfoundland and the air flights home.
