Our wettest start to the day yet. It was just pouring out when I woke up this morning so I took apart my tent from the inside and had everything ready to go underneath the fly and went to eat breakfast. Just no dry place to even stand and eat as the truck was full of wet cyclists. This is the first time I actually put on my rain pants and was glad I had bought a cheap rain poncho in Quebec City when it was raining as my cycling jacket is not really rain proof. By the time I had to take down the fly and get ready to ride it had actually stopped raining and the sun was getting ready to come out. Most of the day was in and out of the sunshine and light drizzle, putting clothes on and off as the temperature was constantly changing. Our day took us up onto the highlands that continue out to make the Gaspe Penninsula and we ended up at a campground that had a large eating shelter with a fireplace which the group commandeered as sleeping quarters. As it was not raining, I elected to set up my tent with 4 others and slept outside while the rest enjoyed each others company for the night. I know I slept well. First day I did not bring the camera on the ride due to the rain and by the time it had stopped, it was packed away nice and dry in the truck.

Indoor accomodation tonight for some.
