A lot nicer day greeted us with sunshine and fairly warm weather but as the day progressed it became cloudy and quite cool. Wind was mostly favourable but light. Concerns about the road after the freeway ended and merged with ours seem to be unfounded as the highway was newly paved and a nice large paved shoulder had been added even though we were now riding with the transport trucks again.
