Cor's Tour du Canada Adventure 2005
June 24 - Bonus Day 2

Today was the trip back to Vancouver. Again a mostly great cycling day with terrific views while we were still on the island. First stop of the day was Mile 0 and 22 pictures taken of individual riders and then a kind passerby offering (unknowingly at first) to take a group picture of us as well (that is when he found out there were about 20 cameras to do).
We continued on after picture taking with the Seaside Trail. This was a bonus trip as it was not scheduled on our trip sheet but was a very beautiful scenic ride. Bud is in the middle of the pic on his Bike Friday which is a collapsible with small wheels. He still zoomed along at a faster pace than I was comfortable trying to maintain.
I thought that I had heard that we would be doing a wheel dipping today even though we do one on our first official day of the tour on Sunday. I just thought some were going to do it from near Mile 0 but even after passing a couple of beaches with easy access, the group still was not stopping so I let Bud know that I would be travelling at my own pace to enjoy the scenery and really do some touring. We did have about 4 hours to travel the approximately 50 kms to the ferry terminal to catch our ferry. I found a spot where I could dip my wheel in and took a picture of it. Even though we did ride all day yesterday, for me it was just a ride to get to the beginning so I decided to remember it with this.
Does it count as first flat of the Tour if this is only an optional add-on?
