Tour du Canada has operated a cross-country bicycle tour since 1988. With the exception of 2 years (including COVID), this has been an annual event.
Cycle Canada is searching for a successor to operate Cycle Canada tours and the cross-Canada tour Tour du Canada.

Cycle Canada and Tour du Canada continue to be operational but are not currently offering supported tours with accommodation. The Tour du Canada Club, Tour du Canada Time Trial and the Cycle Canada Store continue to operate. There is also abundant information on past tours and tips for cycling on the website CycleCanada.com
Cycle Canada, the Veloforce provides administrative support for the club Tour du Canada. The event Tour du Canada is under long term management contract with Cycle Canada for the conduct of the cross-Canada tour. Travel companies based in Ontario must register with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario.
The tour Tour du Canada has operated under Cycle Canada's TICO license, but it is possible for the ride to operate under another company's license or to establish a new TICO license for Cycle Canada. Alternatively, the company can be relocated to a province or territory that does not have this travel agency regulatory regime - this is all provinces and territories other than Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia.
As of October 15, 2024 Cycle Canada has decided to deregister its membership in TICO.
