Today was the trip across Confederation Bridge. Cyclist must take the shuttle and will actually be stopped if they try to cross the bridge on their own. It is 13kms across with no services in case of accident and nowhere to go if a vehicle cuts you off. It would have taken close to 4 hours to get us all across but they called in some regular maintenance vehicles so my bike was packed into the back of a pickup with 4 others and we went across the bridge if the crew cab. PEI was nice and scenic but except for the red soil, it could have been any other sea or lake side tourist area along the way.
