Cor's Tour du Canada Adventure 2005
August 6 - Day 43
Manitowaning
Previous Day - - Back to Daily Log - - Next Day
Started late due to wanting to take some morning shots of the falls at the campground. First 30kms nice and relaxing on backroads but after turning south on Hgwy 6 to Manitoulin Island, the headwinds started, the hills started and the roads were in the running for the worst of the trip as the shoulders and roadway were in very poor shape with very busy traffic. The only thing that made it not the worst was that there was very little truck traffic due to this not being a transportation but more of a tourist route. We were warned about the hills but the headwinds just made the ride not fun for me for these 80kms. Good days and bad, we wouldn't appreciate the good days if there were no bad ones. Still arrived in camp safe and had a good evening.
Waterfall shots after breaking camp in the morning.
Catching a fisherman in the morning mist (not from the group).
Flower at the waterfalls.
Scenic view after a 100m climb on Manitoulin Island.
Keith, Melissa and Tristan playing Washers with some of the locals.
